DigitalMethodary participates in affiliate programs. Some links in our reviews, comparisons, and listicles are affiliate links. If you click one and complete a qualifying purchase, the merchant pays us a referral commission at no extra cost to you.
The Short Version
- Affiliate links are marked with
rel="sponsored". - Commissions never raise the price you pay, and they never influence our scoring.
- Our editorial scoring is published openly at /how-we-review/.
- We refuse paid placements, paid rankings, sponsored review slots, and “first review” exclusives.
- Any product we list in a buying guide must clear our methodology before commercial considerations apply.
Which Programs Pay Us
We participate in direct merchant programs and major affiliate networks. Categories include SaaS subscriptions, web hosting, VPN services, no-code builders, AI tools, payment processors, and digital infrastructure. Commission rates vary from a few percent for high-volume retail tools to recurring percentages for subscription services. We do not disclose individual merchant rates because they shift constantly and would mislead readers about why we recommend a tool.
What We Will Not Do
- We will not accept payment, free product, or exclusivity in exchange for a positive review.
- We will not allow a vendor to review or pre-approve our copy before publication.
- We will not promote a “Top Pick” in a roundup based on commission share.
- We will not silently update old reviews to push affiliate-driven recommendations.
- We will not move a tool up in a comparison because the merchant offers a higher rate.
How We Handle Conflicts of Interest
If we have a personal, employment, advisory, or equity relationship with a tool’s makers, we disclose it inline in the review. If a tool is part of a programmatic affiliate network we also use, we disclose the network in the disclosure block at the top of the article. If our scoring would change based on a commission relationship, we exclude the tool from our buying guides entirely.
FTC Compliance
This site follows the United States Federal Trade Commission’s Endorsement Guides (16 CFR Part 255). Material connections (affiliate links, free products, sponsorships) are disclosed clearly and conspicuously, near the link rather than buried in the footer. Every article that contains affiliate links carries an above-fold disclosure block. This page provides the consolidated, plain-English version.
European Union Visitors
For visitors from the EU and UK, see our Privacy Policy for how affiliate tracking cookies are handled under GDPR and the UK Data Protection Act. We respect consent signals and do not set affiliate tracking cookies before you accept them.
Editorial Independence
Editorial decisions, including which tools to include in any roundup, are made before commercial relationships are considered. Editorial staff are not compensated based on affiliate revenue from individual articles. Our editor of record, James Gallegos, holds final authority on every review and is responsible for the integrity of every recommendation.
